Church organizations in Haiti and in most of the Third World are synonymous with education and a better life. The Wesleyan church of Cotes de fer, just like the majority of churches in Haiti depends on foreign help for growth and subsistence.
The leaders of the Wesleyan Church of Cotes de Fer have expressed great interest in generating funds and becoming less dependent on foreign help.
This is where Build and Bridge comes in. We have partnered with the Wesleyan church of Cotes de fer to develop a business model to achieve that goal. This model involves linking the church and it’s primary school to profitable farming in order for the group to support itself.
Negotiations are underway to partner with Long Branch Baptist Church and Clemson University to bring Aquaponics and other agricultural technologies to this system.
